Bring modern braking performance to your Fox Body or SN95 Mustang with the TBM Brakes XS3 Front Extreme Street Brake Kit. Developed from more than 30 years of racing experience, the XS3 system was created to bridge the gap between lightweight race brakes and the larger, heavier street performance brake packages commonly used on late-model vehicles. With compact 12.19-inch slotted and vented rotors, billet four-piston calipers, and proven Hawk Performance brake pads, this kit delivers excellent stopping power while maintaining compatibility with many 15-inch and larger wheels.
The XS3 calipers are machined from solid 6061 aluminum and use a rigid crossflow design that eliminates external transfer tubes while helping distribute hydraulic pressure evenly across all four pistons. Billet 304 stainless steel pistons, black anodized brackets and hats, dark zinc-plated rotors, and high-quality 12-point hardware provide the strength and durability needed for serious street and performance use. For 1979-1993 Fox Body applications, SN95 front spindles with factory-style hubs are required. Slight spindle modification and smaller aftermarket tie rods or a bump steer kit are also required for proper fitment.

Caliper Design
The XS3 Extreme Street caliper is based on engineering developed through TBM's racing brake programs. The all-billet construction provides excellent strength and rigidity, allowing the caliper to generate substantial clamping force with improved pedal response. Its internal crossflow fluid path promotes smooth operation and even piston pressure without relying on exposed external crossover tubes.
Rotor Design
The 12.19-inch cast rotors use a slotted and vented design to balance weight, cooling capacity, durability, and stopping performance. Their compact dimensions allow the kit to fit behind many smaller wheels while still providing the heat management needed for demanding street use. A dark zinc finish helps protect the rotors against rust and corrosion before installation and on areas not contacted by the brake pads.
Brake Pads
This kit includes Hawk Performance HPS brake pads using a Ferro-Carbon friction compound. The HPS compound is designed to provide strong stopping performance while minimizing the excessive noise and brake dust commonly associated with more aggressive race pad compounds.
Billet Brake Hats
TBM's billet aluminum brake hats reduce unnecessary rotating mass by eliminating the heavy steel center used in traditional one-piece rotors. The stepped mounting design also allows minor axle offset adjustment to help achieve proper brake alignment during installation.

- 1979-1993 Fox Body applications require SN95 front spindles with factory-style hubs.
- Smaller aftermarket tie rods or an appropriate bump steer kit are required.
- Slight spindle modification is required for installation. Review the installation instructions before beginning.
- Fits most 15-inch and larger wheels, but wheel and brake clearance should always be verified before installation.
- TBM does not recommend silicone-based brake fluid with these calipers.
- Use only approved DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1 brake fluid.
- TBM Extreme 6 brake fluid is recommended for best results.
- This brake system performs best at approximately 600 to 800 PSI brake pressure during normal braking.
- Proper master cylinder sizing and pedal ratio are essential for correct brake operation and performance.
