TBM XS3 Front Extreme Street Brake Kit (012-0209) - 1982-1992 Chevy Camaro & Pontiac Firebird
Upgrade the front braking performance of your 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird with the TBM Brakes XS3 Front Extreme Street Brake Kit. Developed from more than 30 years of racing experience, the XS3 Series was engineered to bridge the gap between lightweight racing brake systems and the larger, heavier street performance packages commonly found on modern vehicles. With compact 12.19-inch slotted and vented rotors, billet four-piston calipers, and Hawk Performance HPS pads, this system delivers serious stopping capability while maintaining compatibility with many 15-inch and larger wheels.
This complete front brake package now uses TBM's 008-0119A billet aluminum hub kit, which maintains the factory wheel offset while converting to a 5x4.75-inch bolt pattern with included 1/2-inch wheel studs. The XS3 calipers are machined from solid 6061 aluminum and use four 1.75-inch pistons per caliper for excellent clamping force and pedal feedback. Billet CNC-machined 304 stainless steel pistons, black anodized components, dark zinc-plated rotors, and race-derived crossflow fluid technology combine to create a durable, lightweight, and highly responsive braking system for street and performance-driven third-gen F-Body builds.

Caliper Design
The XS3 Extreme Street caliper applies technology developed through TBM's racing brake programs to a compact street performance package. Each all-billet caliper features a rigid bridge design engineered to reduce flex and provide a more direct pedal feel. Four 1.75-inch stainless steel pistons generate substantial clamping force, while the internal crossflow fluid path promotes smooth operation and balanced piston pressure without requiring exposed external crossover tubes.
Rotor Design
The included 12.19-inch cast rotors feature slotted and vented construction to balance stopping performance, cooling ability, durability, weight, and wheel clearance. Their compact diameter helps maintain compatibility with many 15-inch and larger factory or aftermarket wheels. A dark zinc-plated finish provides additional corrosion protection before installation and on rotor surfaces that are not contacted by the brake pads.
Brake Pads
This kit includes Hawk Performance HPS brake pads featuring a Ferro-Carbon friction compound. The HPS material offers a strong balance of braking performance, street-friendly operation, manageable brake dust, and reduced noise compared to more aggressive racing compounds.
Billet Hub Design
The current version of this kit uses TBM's 008-0119A billet aluminum hub assembly. This updated hub design maintains the factory wheel offset while providing a 5x4.75-inch bolt pattern and includes 1/2-inch x 2-inch wheel studs. The lightweight billet construction helps reduce rotating mass while preserving proper wheel positioning.
