Upgrade the transmission cooling system on your 6R80 or 10R80 equipped Mustang or F-150 with the UPR Products Transmission Cooler Port Adapter Kit. Designed to replace the factory transmission cooler line connections with convenient 8AN fittings, this two-piece adapter kit makes it easier to plumb a remote transmission cooler for performance, racing, towing, or custom transmission cooling applications.
In addition to providing 8AN male inlet and outlet connections, the UPR adapters incorporate a 1/8" NPT sensor port. This allows a compatible temperature sensor to be installed for controlling electronic cooling fans or monitoring and datalogging transmission fluid temperature. The sensor fitting can be configured for either the left or right side to better accommodate the requirements of your installation.
Easy 8AN Transmission Cooler Connections
The UPR 8202-14 adapter kit allows the factory transmission cooler lines and cooler arrangement to be replaced with a custom remote transmission cooler setup using 8AN plumbing. Both the inlet and outlet utilize male 8AN connections, making it easier to integrate aftermarket AN hoses and fittings into the transmission cooling system.
For performance vehicles where transmission temperature management is critical, the adapters provide a clean connection point for building a dedicated remote cooler system without relying on the factory cooler lines.
Compatible with 6R80 and 10R80 Transmissions
UPR designed the adapter kit for both Ford 6R80 and 10R80 automatic transmissions. It fits Mustang and F-150 versions of these transmissions, providing one solution for a wide range of Ford performance and truck applications from 2011 through 2025.
Integrated 1/8" NPT Temperature Sensor Port
An integrated 1/8" NPT port provides a convenient location for adding a compatible transmission fluid temperature sensor. The sensor can be used as part of an electronic fan control system for a remote transmission cooler or for monitoring and datalogging transmission fluid temperatures.
This makes it easier to monitor transmission cooling performance and obtain fluid temperature data without requiring a separate sensor adapter elsewhere in the cooler plumbing.
Left or Right Side Sensor Configuration
The UPR transmission cooler adapter can be configured with the temperature sensor fitting positioned on either the left or right side. This flexibility helps accommodate different vehicle layouts, hose routing, sensor configurations, and custom transmission cooler installations.
Designed for Remote Transmission Coolers
The 8202-14 is specifically designed to simplify the connection of a remote transmission cooler in place of the factory transmission cooler lines and cooler arrangement. The 8AN connections provide a straightforward foundation for building a custom cooling system around the needs of the vehicle.
This configuration is particularly useful for modified vehicles where transmission heat management and custom cooler placement are important considerations.
Black Anodized Finish
UPR finishes the adapters in black anodizing for a clean, performance-oriented appearance. The finish complements aftermarket AN plumbing and other performance components while giving the installation a finished appearance.
Setrab TS180 Fitting Compatibility
The UPR transmission cooler port adapter setup uses a Setrab TS180 fitting. The Setrab TS180 fitting is not included with the 8202-14 adapter kit and must be obtained separately when required for the intended installation.
