UMI Performance Lower Control Arm Torque Box Reinforcements (1000) - 1979-1993 Ford Mustang
Strengthen the lower control arm mounting points on your 1979-1993 Ford Mustang with UMI Performance Lower Control Arm Torque Box Reinforcements. Designed to reinforce a known weak area of the chassis, these reinforcements can help prevent damage and repair cracked or torn torque boxes caused by hard street or track use.
Torque box reinforcement is especially important when upgrading to aftermarket control arms, polyurethane bushings, or UMI lift bars, which can place additional loads on the factory mounting points. The reinforcements can be welded or bolted into place and include the necessary hardware and installation instructions.
Installation
Installation takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. The reinforcements are supplied in bare metal for welding purposes and should be painted after installation to protect the exposed metal.
