TRZ Motorsports 2" Drop Billet Spindles - No Steering Arm (1979 - 1981 Camaro / Firebird / 1979 Nova) - 328-42
Lightweight 2? Drop Billet Spindles for Late F-Body & 1979 Nova
The TRZ Motorsports 2? Drop Billet Spindles (Part #328-42) deliver lightweight construction, precision geometry, and drag-race-ready durability for 1979 - 1981 Camaro/Firebird and the 1979 Chevy Nova. CNC'd in-house from high-quality billet aluminum and equipped with heat-treated stainless steel spindle pins, these spindles offer excellent strength without the weight of factory steel units.
Each set includes castle nuts, keyed washers, and cotter pins for a complete installation. TRZ designs these spindles specifically for drag racing and ensures compatibility with aftermarket brake systems that use stock spindle geometry - such as Strange and TBM billet brake kits. They do not work with Wilwood, Aerospace, or Baer setups.
While this specific model is sold without steering arms, TRZ requires pairing them with either the Billet 303 Steering Arms or the 303-QS Quick Steer Arms. Quick Steer Arms can reduce turning radius by up to 30% when running a rack-and-pinion conversion. Because the steering arm design uses a 1/2? tie-rod hole, TRZ also recommends adding a bump steer kit for optimal geometry control.
With an approximate 15 lb weight savings over OEM spindles, these billet units dramatically improve weight transfer and help your F-body or Nova react harder off the starting line.
