TRZ Motorsports 2" Drop Billet Spindles - Quick Steer Arm (1979 - 1981 Camaro / Firebird / 1979 Nova) - 328-42 & 303-QS
Lightweight 2? Drop Billet Spindles with TRZ 303-QS Quick Steer Arms
The TRZ Motorsports 2? Drop Billet Spindles combined with the 303-QS Quick Steer Arms create a lightweight, drag-race-engineered front suspension solution for 1979 - 1981 Camaro/Firebird and 1979 Chevy Nova platforms. CNC'd in-house from high-strength billet aluminum and equipped with heat-treated stainless steel spindle pins, these spindles offer outstanding durability while cutting significant weight from the nose of the car.
This kit includes castle nuts, keyed washers, and cotter pins for a complete installation. Designed strictly for drag racing applications, these spindles maintain compatibility with aftermarket bolt-on brake systems using stock-style geometry - specifically Strange and TBM billet brake kits. These are not compatible with Wilwood, Aerospace, or Baer brake packages.
The included 303-QS Quick Steer Arms are a major performance upgrade, offering up to a 30% reduction in turning radius when used with rack-and-pinion steering setups. Because the steering arm design features a 1/2? outer tie-rod hole, TRZ strongly recommends pairing the spindles with a bump steer kit for optimal steering geometry throughout suspension travel.
With an approximate 15 lb weight savings over stock spindles, this billet assembly helps improve front-end lift, weight transfer, and overall launch efficiency on drag cars.
