BMR’s specialized transmission conversion crossmember removes all the guesswork, replacing the flimsy factory component with a heavy-duty, direct-fit tubular crossmember that bolts right into the factory mounting locations and provides the correct mounting height and angle for your upgraded gearbox.
Engineered for high-performance street, drag racing, and handling applications, this red powdercoated crossmember is manufactured right here in the U.S.A. from robust 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing and high-strength, laser-cut, CNC-formed 3/16-inch steel plate. This structural rigidity completely eliminates crossmember deflection, ensuring your drivetrain remains properly aligned under hard acceleration. Designed explicitly to accommodate TH350 and Powerglide automatic transmission swaps, it also relocates the torque arm mount to the crossmember itself, removing stress from the transmission tailshaft housing. Installation takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.
NOTE: As shipped, this crossmember is designed to work with BMR torque arms. It may be used with stock or other aftermarket brands by simply replacing the front torque arm bushing with a compatible unit.
