Factory stamped-steel crossmembers lack the durability required for modified engines and cannot accommodate high-performance racing transmission conversions. BMR’s high-strength tubular crossmember replaces the flimsy factory component, providing a rock-solid structural foundation that sets the correct mounting height and drivetrain angle for your TH350 or Powerglide gearbox behind an LT1 engine combination.
Engineered to withstand the intense structural loads of aggressive street performance, hard-launching drag racing, and demanding handling applications, this red powdercoated crossmember is manufactured right here in the U.S.A. from robust 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing. By shifting the torque arm mount completely off the transmission tailshaft and onto the rigid crossmember frame, it prevents catastrophic tailshaft housing breakage under heavy acceleration. This heavy-duty construction eliminates crossmember flex, ensuring your drivetrain stays properly aligned for predictable, repeatable chassis reactions. Installation takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.
NOTE: BMR’s TCC013 crossmembers are designed explicitly for LT1 engine configurations and will not work with LS-swapped vehicles. As shipped, this unit is designed to work with BMR torque arms, but it may be used with stock or other aftermarket brands by installing a compatible front bushing.
