BMR 4L60E Transmission Conversion / Torque Arm Relocation Crossmember Black (TCC012H) - 1993-1997 F-Body LT1
Reinforce your chassis and take the destructive structural stress off your gearbox tailshaft with a Torque Arm Relocation Crossmember from BMR Suspension. On factory 1993-1997 GM F-Bodies, the torque arm mounts directly to the transmission tailshaft housing. While acceptable for a standard factory setup, high-power street performance, hard-launching drag racing, or aggressive cornering can flex the drivetrain and completely shatter the fragile aluminum tailshaft housing. BMR’s high-strength tubular crossmember replaces the flimsy factory stamped-steel layout, removing the torque arm mount completely off the transmission and relocating it onto the rigid chassis crossmember frame.
Engineered for maximum reliability and repeatability on the track or street, this black hammertone powdercoated crossmember is manufactured right here in the U.S.A. from robust 1.25-inch DOM steel tubing and heavy-duty, laser-cut, CNC-formed steel mounting plate. This design eliminates crossmember deflection, ensuring your drivetrain remains properly aligned under the hardest acceleration. It bolts directly into the factory frame mounting locations, taking the guesswork out of upgrading or reinforcing your 4L60E setup. Installation takes approximately 1 to 2 hours.
NOTE: BMR’s TCC012 crossmembers are designed explicitly for LT1 engine configurations and will not work with LS-swapped vehicles without extensive modification. As shipped, this unit is designed to work with BMR torque arms, but it may be used with stock or other aftermarket brands by installing a compatible front bushing.
