Upgrade your 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro with the TBM Brakes XS3 Rear Extreme Street Brake Kit, a performance-focused braking package designed to deliver serious stopping capability while maintaining compatibility with many smaller-diameter wheels. Drawing from more than 30 years of racing experience, TBM developed the XS3 Series to bridge the gap between lightweight single-thickness racing brakes and the larger, heavier brake systems commonly found on modern performance vehicles. The result is a compact rear brake package featuring 12.19-inch slotted and vented rotors, billet four-piston calipers, and proven Hawk Performance HPS pads.
Each XS3 caliper is machined from solid 6061 aluminum and uses four large 1.75-inch pistons to generate impressive clamping force and responsive pedal feedback. TBM's crossflow design eliminates external transfer tubes while promoting even hydraulic pressure distribution across the pistons. Billet CNC-machined 304 stainless steel pistons, black anodized brackets and hats, dark zinc-plated rotors, and quality 12-point hardware complete a durable system engineered for demanding street and performance applications. Installation requires permanent modification to the factory rear knuckles, and the factory parking brake cannot be retained.

Caliper Design
The XS3 Extreme Street caliper brings technology developed through TBM's racing brake programs into a performance-oriented street package. The all-billet 6061 aluminum construction provides exceptional rigidity to help minimize caliper flex and improve pedal response. Four 1.75-inch pistons per caliper generate substantial clamping force, while the internal crossflow fluid design promotes balanced pressure without requiring exposed external crossover tubes.
Rotor Design
TBM's 12.19-inch cast rotors feature both slotted and vented construction to balance stopping performance, cooling capacity, durability, weight, and appearance. The compact rotor diameter helps make the XS3 system compatible with many factory and aftermarket wheels measuring 15 inches or larger. Dark zinc plating provides corrosion protection before installation and helps protect areas of the rotor that are not swept by the brake pads.
Brake Pads
Included Hawk Performance HPS brake pads use a Ferro-Carbon friction compound designed to provide strong stopping performance while maintaining street-friendly characteristics. This compound offers an effective balance between braking capability, manageable brake dust, and reduced noise compared to more aggressive racing compounds.
Billet Brake Hats
TBM's billet aluminum brake hats eliminate the heavier steel center section commonly found in traditional one-piece rotors, helping reduce unnecessary rotating mass. Their stepped mounting design also provides minor axle offset adjustment to assist with proper brake alignment during installation.

Important Installation Notes
- The factory rear caliper mounting ears must be cut off the OEM rear knuckles for installation.
- Cutting the factory caliper ears is a permanent modification. Review installation requirements before purchasing or beginning installation.
- This brake kit will not work with the factory parking brake.
- Fits many 15-inch and larger factory or aftermarket wheels when sufficient clearance is available.
- Will not clear the inner beadlock ring of a 15-inch beadlock drag racing wheel.
- Always verify wheel and brake clearance before installation.
Brake Fluid & System Notes
- TBM does not recommend silicone-based brake fluid with these calipers.
- Use only approved DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1 brake fluid.
- TBM Extreme 6 brake fluid is recommended for best results.
- The brakes are designed to perform best at approximately 600 to 800 PSI brake pressure during normal braking.
- Proper master cylinder sizing and pedal ratio are essential for correct brake operation and maximum performance.
