This complete front kit saves approximately 58 pounds compared to the factory brakes while delivering strong pedal feedback, impressive brake torque, and dependable street manners.
The XS3 kit was specifically engineered to work with smaller-diameter and factory-size wheels without giving up braking capability. Its compact 12.19-inch vented rotor package fits most 15-inch and larger wheels when knuckle clearance allows, including many factory steel wheels and popular drag racing wheels. Billet aluminum calipers, stainless steel pistons, slotted and vented rotors, Hawk Performance HPS pads, and billet aluminum hats combine to provide a lightweight, durable braking solution for high-performance street and drag-oriented Mustang builds.

Rotor Design
The included 12.19-inch cast rotors use a slotted and vented design to balance stopping power, heat management, durability, and weight. Their compact dimensions allow the brake package to fit behind many smaller factory and aftermarket wheels while still providing the cooling capacity required for demanding street performance applications. A dark zinc finish helps protect the rotors from rust and corrosion before installation and on areas not contacted by the brake pads.
Caliper Design
The XS3 Extreme Street caliper is based on engineering principles developed through TBM's racing brake programs. Each billet aluminum caliper features a rigid bridge structure and four large stainless steel pistons to generate substantial clamping force and consistent brake torque. The internal crossflow fluid design eliminates exposed external tubes while promoting smooth operation and balanced piston pressure.
Brake Pads
This kit includes Hawk Performance HPS brake pads featuring a Ferro-Carbon friction compound. The HPS compound provides a strong balance of street-friendly stopping performance, manageable brake dust, and reduced noise compared to more aggressive racing compounds.
Billet Brake Hats
TBM's billet aluminum brake hats reduce weight by replacing the heavy steel center section found on a conventional one-piece rotor. Their stepped mounting design also allows minor axle offset adjustment to help achieve proper brake alignment during installation.

- Fits most 15-inch and larger wheels when the wheel design and knuckle assembly provide sufficient clearance.
- Wheel clearance should always be verified before installation.
- TBM does not recommend silicone-based brake fluid with these calipers.
- Use only approved DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1 brake fluid.
- TBM Extreme 6 DOT 5.1 brake fluid is recommended for best results.
- The brake system is designed to perform best at approximately 600 to 800 PSI of brake pressure during normal braking.
- Proper master cylinder sizing and pedal ratio are essential for correct brake operation and performance.
- Front brake lines, line lock components, and brake fluid are available separately unless otherwise specified.
