BMR Adjustable DOM Torque Arm - Black (TA001H) - 1982-2002 GM F-Body
Improve handling, reduce performance-robbing wheel hop, and add serious structural strength and tunability to your third or fourth-generation GM F-body with an Adjustable DOM Torque Arm from BMR Suspension. The weak factory stamped steel torque arm deflects tremendously under load, even when subjected to mild amounts of horsepower and torque. BMR's heavy-duty torque arm eliminates this deflection entirely, allowing power to transfer much more efficiently to the tires for improved traction and stability during street performance, drag racing, and hard handling applications.
Manufactured from heavy-duty 1-inch diameter, 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing and robust 1/4-inch laser-cut, CNC-formed steel plate, this system is engineered to handle extreme torque loads. The torque arm installs into the factory rear differential mounting locations using heavy-duty rod ends, while a premium 95-durometer polyurethane front mounting bushing ensures power transfers efficiently to the ground without causing harsh increases in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH). Pinion angle is fully adjustable on the vehicle using a high-strength, CNC-machined 4130 chromoly adjuster, giving you the ability to fine-tune your driveline geometry for optimal launching and traction.
NOTE: The included front bushing fits 1982-2002 V8 F-Bodies (1982-1984 models require the purchase of an 1985-or-newer factory torque arm "clamshell" mount). It also fits all V6 F-Body models equipped with a one-piece driveshaft. This unit does not fit some 9-bolt rear ends found in certain third-generation models without trimming the mounts on the axle housing.
