Constructed to survive severe launch loads and structural chassis twisting, the brackets in the SMK005 kit are manufactured from heavy-duty 3/16-inch steel plate that is precision laser-cut and CNC-formed. This heavy-duty composition ensures an exact contour match over any performance or custom rear end housing featuring smaller 2.50-inch to 2.75-inch diameter axle tubes. Shipped in a bare, uncoated finish, these brackets are optimized for clean welding directly onto your axle housing. This weld-on design provides a permanent solution that is ideal for custom narrow rear ends or narrow-tube street/strip differentials where standard bolt-on clamp-style brackets physically cannot clear layout restrictions. The kit includes zinc-coated assembly hardware to secure your sway bar saddles once the brackets are permanently welded in place.
