The stock rear sway bars on 2016-newer Camaros have low torsional spring rates due to their small physical diameter. This yields excessive lateral deflection, heavy body roll, and a tendency to understeer under hard driving conditions. BMR engineered the SB054 rear sway bar by directly factoring in sixth-gen vehicle weight, suspension motion ratios, coil spring rates, and on-track adjustability requirements. The result is a highly effective structural upgrade designed to give you flat, neutral, and predictable handling characteristics whether you are carving mountain roads, conquering autocross cones, or hunting down lap times.
Proudly designed and CNC cold-formed in the USA, this heavy-duty rear sway bar is crafted from premium 1.25-inch (32mm) heavy-wall DOM steel tubing. Unlike cheap hot-formed alternatives, cold-forming ensures the bar has maximum resistance to torsional fatigue and holds its original spring memory over years of extreme abuse. Thanks to its hollow design, this 32mm bar increases rear-end roll stiffness without adding excessive weight to your chassis. It features three-way adjustability, delivering a massive 73% to 125% rate increase over the factory rear bar to let you dial in your suspension for neutral cornering or rotation. To guarantee instantaneous response, the kit includes low-deflection 88-durometer polyurethane bushings that are internally fluted to trap grease, as well as zinc-plated inner sleeves to prevent binding. Finished in BMR’s long-lasting, textured black hammertone powder coat, this rear sway bar looks as good as it performs.
IMPORTANT FITMENT & INSTALLATION NOTES:
- Vehicle Compatibility: Fits RWD 2016 to 2024 Chevrolet Camaro coupe models (all trim packages including LS, LT, LT1, SS, 1LE, and ZL1).
- Convertible Fitment: Does NOT fit convertible models. Designed exclusively for hardtop/coupe chassis configurations.
- Installation: This is a direct bolt-on upgrade that replaces the factory rear bar. Installation takes approximately 1 to 2 hours using standard hand tools and standard lift or jack stands.
