Overview
Built for both high-performance builds and stock 12-valve Cummins engines, the PPE 12V Head Stud Kit provides the clamping force and durability needed to keep cylinder pressures under control. These studs are engineered for demanding applications where factory head bolts simply can't keep up.
High-Strength 8740 Chromoly Construction
Each stud is manufactured from premium 8740 chromoly steel and finished with a corrosion-resistant black oxide coating. PPE precision centerless-grinds every stud for straightness and rolls the threads to Mil-S-8879 specifications, improving fatigue strength and reducing stress at the thread root.
Proven Tensile Strength
Independently tested to exceed 230,000 psi tensile strength, these studs deliver the holding power required for high-boost Cummins builds. PPE recommends this kit for engines running 45+ psi of boost, whether on the street, track, or towing under heavy load.
Complete Installation Hardware
Each kit includes hardened parallel washers, high-strength nuts, and PPE's assembly lubricant to ensure accurate torque readings and even load distribution during installation.
