Overview
The PPE Extreme-Duty Forged 7/8" Drilled Steering Assembly Kit is engineered to dramatically reinforce the steering system on 2011-2025 GM 2500/3500 HD trucks. Designed for lifted setups, larger tires, added horsepower, and hard-use environments, this kit replaces the weak factory components with oversized forged parts built for long-term strength and stability.
Heavy-Duty Forged Components
At the center of the system is a massive 1.5-inch OE-style forged center link drilled to accept PPE's Extreme-Duty 7/8-inch forged pitman and idler arms. Both arms feature replaceable dual bearings for smooth, consistent operation. The kit also includes PPE's Stage 3 Forged Tie Rod Assemblies, which use oversized ball joints and a fully adjustable inner joint for exceptional durability.
Strength Upgrades Over Stock
This steering assembly is designed to eliminate the common failure points found in factory GM steering systems. The included Stage 3 tie rods feature:
- 1.5-inch wide forged tie rod bodies
- Massive 2 1/3-inch outer ball joints
- Oversized, adjustable inner ball joints
- Spring-loaded gusher bearings for constant pressure
Together, these components create a rigid, high-strength steering foundation ideal for towing, sled pulling, drag racing, or off-road use.
Complete Steering Upgrade
The kit includes everything needed to replace the factory center link, pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rods. Zerk fittings throughout the system make maintenance simple, and PPE backs the assembly with a limited lifetime warranty. A pitman arm puller is also included to simplify removal of the factory center link.
