Overview
The PPE Extreme-Duty Forged Steering Assembly is engineered to dramatically strengthen the front-end steering system on 2001-2010 GM 2500/3500 HD trucks. Designed for lifted builds, larger tires, increased horsepower, and aggressive use, this kit replaces the weak factory components with oversized forged parts built for long-term durability and precise steering control.
Heavy-Duty Forged Components
At the core of the system is a massive 1.5-inch OE-style forged center link drilled to accept PPE's Extreme-Duty 7/8-inch forged pitman and idler arms. Both arms feature replaceable dual bearings for smooth, consistent operation. The kit also includes PPE's Stage 3 Forged Tie Rod Assemblies, which use oversized ball joints and a fully adjustable inner joint for exceptional strength.
Strength Upgrades Over Stock
This steering assembly is designed to eliminate the common failure points found in factory GM steering systems. The included Stage 3 tie rods feature:
- 1.5-inch wide forged tie rod bodies
- Massive 2 1/3-inch outer ball joints
- Oversized, adjustable inner ball joints
- Spring-loaded gusher bearings for constant pressure
Together, these components provide a rigid, high-strength steering foundation ideal for towing, sled pulling, drag racing, or off-road use.
Complete Upgrade Kit
The Extreme-Duty Steering Assembly includes everything needed to replace the factory center link, pitman arm, idler arm, and tie rods. Zerk fittings are integrated throughout the system for easy maintenance, and PPE backs the kit with a limited lifetime warranty.
