Overview
The PPE Stage 2 Cylinder Head for 2001-2004 GM 6.6L Duramax engines is engineered for builders who want increased airflow, upgraded valvetrain components, and improved durability over stock LB7 heads. This version includes all Stage 1 enhancements plus larger valves, upgraded guides, and oversized seat and spring cup machining for maximum performance potential.
Enhanced Airflow & Performance
Stage 2 heads feature enlarged intake and exhaust valves paired with larger valve seats and bronze valve guides. These improvements increase airflow by approximately 75 CFM compared to factory LB7 heads, supporting higher horsepower levels, better throttle response, and more efficient combustion.
Upgraded Valvetrain Components
To accommodate the larger valves, PPE machines the spring cup bases and installs premium components designed to withstand high-heat and high-load environments. The result is a stronger, more stable valvetrain capable of supporting aggressive tuning and elevated boost levels.
