From the factory, the engine mounts on the S197, S550, and S650 platforms are incredibly soft and compliant. While good for isolating NVH, this excessive factory movement causes significant engine rotation under heavy acceleration. This rotation wastes horsepower, delays throttle response, and distorts transmission linkage alignment—leading to inconsistent launch times and missed gears in manual-transmission Mustangs. BMR’s MM007 kit provides an ultra-strong, performance-oriented replacement that anchors your engine down while keeping cabin harshness at a minimum.
Perfectly optimized for street performance, drag racing, and road course racing, the MM007 motor mounts are manufactured from laser-cut 1/4-inch steel plate and high-grade billet aluminum. Polyurethane bushings replace the sloppy stock rubber to dramatically limit powertrain rotation. For added versatility, this kit features an adjustable height design that allows you to lower the engine up to 1/2-inch. Dropping the engine drops the car's center of gravity and frees up critical under-hood clearance for large-tube headers, custom downpipes, turbo kits, or aftermarket intake manifolds and superchargers. In addition to their heavy-duty strength, these mounts weigh over 50% less than the bulky stock assemblies, helping shed weight from the front end.
Finished in an elegant black-anodized coating for superior corrosion resistance and a clean look under the hood, the kit comes complete with high-tensile Grade 8 mounting hardware. The 100% direct bolt-on layout requires no fabrication, with a straightforward installation time of 2 to 3 hours.
NOTE: For max-effort, high-horsepower race builds where engine movement must be completely eliminated, these mounts can be easily converted later. Simply install BMR’s MM006 Motor Mount Solid Bushing Upgrade Kit (sold separately), which includes billet aluminum pucks that replace the poly bushings included in this kit.
