Valve Cover Breather
Fits Standard 3/4" PCV Grommet Opening
This valve cover breather is designed to fit a standard PCV rubber grommet with the 3/4" opening. It is a press-fit (just like a PCV valve) and installs in seconds. This breather is equipped with the same one-way check valve used in our other breathers, which allows any accumulated pressure beneath the breather to escape, but will not allow ambient air to enter through the breather under high-vacuum or cruise conditions.
Like all Metco breathers, the stand is precision-machined from billet aluminum. The high quality S & B filter element is captured securely by a retaining ring machined into the top of the stand.
Image 3 (above) shows this breather installed in the PCV location at the rear of the driver's side valve cover on the 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra application. This breather will fit other applications as well - please contact us if you have questions.
Note 1: The total height of this breather above the valve cover is approximately 3.0". Please confirm that you have vertical clearance above the PCV opening prior to ordering.
The grommet is not included with this breather due to variations in valve and cam covers. For Modular Ford applications, we recommend the Mr. Gasket #6379 grommet.
Of course, we cannot ship valve cover breathers to the state of California.
