This partial carbon fiber configuration combines a fiberglass main bumper with gloss clear-coated carbon fiber components, including the upper and lower grilles, splitter, vents, and canards. The fiberglass portions are supplied in black primer ready for paint or wrap, allowing you to customize the bumper while retaining exposed carbon fiber accents throughout the front end.
R1 Competizione Design with Carbon Fiber and Canards
The R1 Competizione Bumper transforms the S650 Mustang with a more aggressive and purposeful front profile. This configuration adds exposed carbon fiber components and canards to the R1 design, creating a distinctive motorsport-inspired appearance suited to street, track, and show-oriented Mustang builds.
Fiberglass with Carbon Fiber Components
The main bumper structure features fiberglass construction and is supplied in black primer, ready for final preparation, paint, or wrap. Carbon fiber is used for the contrasting performance-oriented components, giving the bumper the visual impact of exposed carbon while retaining the versatility of a paintable fiberglass main structure.
According to MAZ Muscle, the carbon fiber components include the upper grille, lower grille, splitter, vents, and canards. These exposed carbon fiber sections receive a gloss clear coat finish for a premium appearance and additional surface protection.
CFD-Tested Aerodynamic Development
MAZ Muscle developed the R1 Competizione Bumper with performance as well as appearance in mind. According to MAZ Muscle, the bumper has been CFD-tested for improved airflow and aerodynamic efficiency, with the overall design engineered to enhance airflow and reduce drag.
Carbon Fiber Canards
This R1 Competizione configuration includes carbon fiber canards as part of its aggressive aerodynamic package. Finished in gloss clear coat to complement the other exposed carbon fiber components, the canards reinforce the bumper's track-inspired appearance and distinguish this version from the non-canard configurations.
Designed for All S650 Mustang Trims
The R1 Competizione Bumper is designed for 2024-2026 Mustang EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse models. This allows owners across the S650 Mustang lineup to add the same aggressive R1 Competizione styling without being limited to a specific factory trim.
Factory-Style Mounting
The bumper is designed to align with factory mounting points for clean integration with the vehicle. MAZ Muscle notes that slight or subtle modifications may be necessary to achieve ideal final fitment. As with any aftermarket body component, test fitting the complete bumper before final paint, wrapping, or finishing is recommended.
Handmade Construction and Lead Time
Each R1 Competizione Bumper is handmade and requires a significant amount of labor to produce. MAZ Muscle currently estimates a general lead time of approximately 5-7 weeks from the order date when there are no production delays.
Because of the handmade manufacturing process, delays may occur. MAZ Muscle states that lead times can extend to approximately 8-10 weeks, and certain options may require additional production time.
