The GTD Hood is constructed using 2x2 twill carbon fiber with vacuum-infused resin, creating a lightweight yet durable composite structure designed for performance applications. A carbon exoskeleton provides additional reinforcement, while two layers of clear coat protect the carbon fiber and deliver a deep, glossy finish designed for lasting visual appeal.
Precision Carbon Fiber Construction
MAZ Muscle uses precision molds developed from 3D CAD scans to create the GTD Carbon Fiber Hood. This manufacturing approach is designed to provide accurate contours and consistent fitment for the 2024+ S650 Mustang. The combination of wet carbon, a reinforcing carbon exoskeleton, 2x2 twill carbon fiber, and vacuum-infused resin provides the strength and durability required for a performance-focused composite hood while keeping weight to a minimum.

Heat Shield Requirement
Proper heat protection is required to help prevent heat-related damage to the carbon fiber. MAZ Muscle requires reuse of the factory OEM heat shield or the installation of approved heat shield taping on the underside of the hood.
Hood Pin and Installation Notes
Hood pins are strongly recommended for this hood. MAZ Muscle states that it is not responsible for damage resulting from improper installation or failure to use hood pins. For mounting, the recommended hardware is four M6x1.00 14mm fasteners with one washer at each mounting location.
The factory gas struts are also not recommended. Gas struts apply significant upward force to the hood and may damage the composite construction. MAZ Muscle recommends using a hood prop in place of the OEM gas struts.
