Rather than relying on generic stock-replacement strut valving, KellTrac worked with one of the world's leading shock manufacturers to select drag race-specific compression and rebound characteristics. The result is an adjustable front suspension package developed specifically around the demands of launching a powerful S550 or S650 Mustang.
Ultimate Wheelie Control
The X-SERIES HYBRID system was developed around controlled weight transfer rather than simply encouraging the front of the car to rise as aggressively as possible. KellTrac's unique combination of valving, spring selection, and long-travel suspension movement is designed to help racers manage front-end rise and keep the chassis under control as power is applied.
On well-prepared surfaces, proper adjustment can help prevent excessive wheelies and allow more power to be applied through smoother suspension control. In no-prep situations where additional weight transfer may be necessary, the system can also be adjusted to help promote front-end movement and wheelies when appropriate. KellTrac recommends consultation when configuring the system specifically for this type of no-prep use.
