Designed Around the Factory Brembo Calipers
Rather than replacing the GT500's factory 6-piston Brembo calipers, KellTrac developed this system to work with them. The carbon ceramic rotors are paired with specially selected brake pads that accommodate the smaller rotor dimensions while maintaining the factory caliper configuration.
This approach provides GT500 drag racers with a straightforward way to achieve substantial front brake weight reduction without replacing the complete factory caliper system.

Brake Pad Overhang Notice
Due to supply chain and supplier changes, kits produced beginning January 1, 2025 are supplied with brake pads that overhang the edge of the smaller-diameter rotor. According to KellTrac, this overhang is intentional and acceptable for the intended application. KellTrac reports extensive testing of this configuration on shop vehicles, including more than 7,500 miles and 300+ wide-open-throttle pulls with repeated heavy braking.
