Introducing the Hellion R-Series Reverse Top Mount Twin Turbo System for the 2024-2026 Ford Mustang GT and Dark Horse. Unveiled at SEMA 2026, this is Hellion's first R-Series system developed for the S650 Mustang, combining a distinctive top-mounted turbocharger layout with a complete bolt-on design capable of supporting over 1,600 horsepower with the optional turbo upgrade.
The R-Series positions two Hellion turbochargers above the Coyote 5.0L engine. By pairing a standard-rotation turbo with a reverse-rotation turbo, both compressor housings face inward toward each other, creating a balanced, symmetrical engine bay layout. Every tube, flange, and bracket is engineered for factory fitment, delivering a complete bolt-on installation without sacrificing the system's show-quality appearance.
Hellion has been developing record-setting turbocharger systems since 2004, drawing on more than 25 years of professional turbocharging experience. Building on its first top-mount Coyote system introduced in 2011, the R-Series brings that experience to the S650 platform with a design focused on installation, appearance, and serious horsepower potential.
The standard R-Series system includes twin Hellion 62/62R V-band turbochargers capable of supporting up to 1,200 horsepower. For higher horsepower applications, optional 64/66R turbochargers increase the system's capability to over 1,600 horsepower. Boost pressure is adjustable through wastegate spring changes, with an optional Turbosmart eBoost3 electronic boost controller available for additional boost management.
The system includes stainless steel turbo manifolds, dual Turbosmart Hypergate 45mm wastegates, 3-inch downpipes with wastegate re-entry, and Hellion's proven 3.5-inch intercooler. An optional 6-inch race intercooler, also used in Hellion's S650 Street Sleeper system, is available for higher-performance applications. American-made stainless steel tubing with V-band connections, installation clamps, and heat protection are included.
Important: This is a tuner kit and does not include engine tuning. Proper tuning is required for installation and operation.
