The dry-media design eliminates the need for filter oil during servicing and provides an alternative to the S&B Red Oiled, S&B Blue Dry, and S&B Gray Oiled High-Flow TRACK filter choices available for the Stinger-RZ.
NOMEX Insulative Sleeve
This configuration includes Halltech's black 18-inch NOMEX insulative sleeve. Halltech describes the sleeve as a heat barrier designed to completely insulate its intake tubes and isolate intake-air flow from hot underhood temperatures. The heat-resistant DuPont NOMEX aramid fabric is combined with a stretch elastomer to create a lightweight thermal barrier around the intake tube. Depending on the installation, the sleeve can also provide enough length to cover portions of the throttle-body hose or filter neck.
Stock Throttle Body with PCV Provision
This version is configured for the stock C7 Z06 throttle body and includes the PCV hole in the throttle-body hose. It is intended for installations retaining the factory throttle-body size while requiring the PCV provision in the throttle-body hose.
Larger Sealed Airbox
The Stinger-RZ uses a sealed airbox that Halltech describes as much larger than the stock unit to promote better airflow.
