The Super Hornet is much more than a larger filter stuffed into the factory intake path. Halltech engineered the complete system around the airflow requirements and dual-MAF configuration of the C8 Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X. Its huge filter provides more than 600 square inches of filtration area, while the molded-in velocity stacks and reverse-flow funnels are designed to maintain laminar airflow at both MAF sensors. A stainless steel backplate keeps the factory harness fasteners and antenna in their original locations, and the system reuses the factory throttle-body connector hoses, left and right inlet ducts, and mounting bolts.

This SPRHRNT configuration comes with the S&B Red Oiled Filter, one of the four filter options offered for Halltech's Super Hornet. It provides the oiled-media choice for owners who prefer an oiled performance filter while retaining the Super Hornet's massive filtration area. Halltech's proprietary C8 Hornet filter design measures 10 inches by 16 inches in an obround configuration and provides more than 600 square inches of filtered area.
Dual-MAF Airflow Management
The Super Hornet's airflow engineering is especially important on the Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X because these applications use two MAF sensors. Rather than focusing only on total airflow, Halltech uses molded-in velocity stacks and reverse-flow funnels designed to maintain laminar airflow at both sensors. The result is a high-capacity intake engineered around both airflow volume and sensor airflow quality.
