The included 18-inch Halltech NOMEX sleeve provides an additional thermal barrier around the intake tube. Constructed from heat-resistant DuPont NOMEX aramid fabric with stretch elastomer, the sleeve complements Halltech's Beehive heat shield by adding protection around the intake tract from high underhood temperatures. The sleeve can be trimmed or positioned as needed for access around the MAF sensor and may cover portions of the hose or filter neck depending on installation.
112 mm Throttle-Body Configuration with PCV Hole
This version of the KBMF103 is configured for a 112 mm throttle-body application and includes the PCV hole in the throttle-body hose for PCV capability. The larger throttle-body configuration does not change the MF103 MAF section. The intake remains nominally 103 mm internally at the MAF sensor with 8,332 square mm of cross-sectional area, preserving the airflow-metering strategy Halltech engineered into the MF103.
No Additional Intake Tuning Required
The Killer Bee MF103 is Halltech's plug-and-play C6 induction system for the LS3 and LS7. Halltech designed the MF103 around the same nominal 103 mm internal diameter at the MAF sensor as the stock intake, allowing it to translate the MAF tables like stock without requiring additional tuning simply because the MF103 intake has been installed.
