The HRNTKIT hardware package includes inlet duct gaskets, spare panel-mount zip ties, MAF hardware with an Allen wrench, trunk-side mounting washers, and assembly hardware. This version also includes Halltech's 18-inch Nomex sleeve, constructed from heat-resistant DuPont Nomex aramid fabric combined with a stretch elastomer. Why Choose the Version With the Nomex Sleeve?
This version adds Halltech's Nomex thermal barrier to the standard Hornet hardware package. The sleeve is designed to completely insulate a Halltech intake tube and help isolate intake airflow from hot underhood temperatures. Depending on the intake configuration and available coverage, the 18-inch sleeve may also extend over portions of the throttle body hose and/or filter neck.
Halltech Nomex Sleeve Testing
Halltech reports that during testing at an ambient temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit, intake air temperature remained at 70 degrees Fahrenheit through 30 minutes of normal driving and a high-speed run to 130 mph. After the high-speed run followed immediately by 60 seconds of idling, IAT increased to 78 degrees Fahrenheit. After another block of driving, it returned to 72 degrees Fahrenheit. These are Halltech's test results under its stated conditions, and actual results can vary by vehicle, intake configuration, ambient conditions and operation.
