Halltech Systems Hornet-518 Cold Air Intake - TKO Attack Blue Dry Nano Filter - NOMEX Sleeve (2020 - 2026 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray / 2024 - 2026 E-Ray - Coupe / HTC) - HRNT.518
Give the LT2 in your C8 Corvette a purpose-built airflow upgrade with the Halltech Systems Hornet-518 Cold Air Intake. Engineered specifically for 2020-2026 Corvette Stingray and 2024-2026 Corvette E-Ray models, the HRNT.518 combines a massive filter, application-specific airbox, molded-in velocity stack, and engineered MAF airflow management in a direct cold air intake replacement that Halltech states requires no tuning. Halltech's Stingray dyno testing recorded gains of more than 17 horsepower and 25 torque, although Halltech notes that results have varied. This configuration combines the TKO Attack Blue Dry Nano Filter with the NOMEX insulating sleeve.
The Hornet-518 is engineered as a complete intake system rather than simply replacing the factory filter with a larger element. Its oversized filter provides more than 600 square inches of filtration area, while Halltech's molded-in velocity stack and reverse-flow partition are designed to maintain laminar airflow at the MAF sensor. The filter box is constructed from military-grade XLPE, and a stainless steel backplate retains the factory locations for the harness fasteners and antenna. The system also reuses the factory throttle-body connector hose, PCV fitting, left and right inlet ducts, and mounting bolts.

TKO Attack Blue Dry Nano Filter
This HRNT.518 configuration comes specifically with Halltech's TKO Attack Blue Dry Nano Filter. Halltech offers four filter choices for the Hornet-518, including both dry and oiled media. The TKO Attack Blue option provides dry nano filter media for C8 owners who prefer a non-oiled filter while retaining the massive filter area engineered into the Hornet-518 intake system.
NOMEX Sleeve Configuration
This version includes the NOMEX insulating sleeve along with the TKO Attack Blue Dry Nano Filter. It is the correct HRNT.518 configuration for owners who want Halltech's TKO dry nano filter paired with the NOMEX sleeve rather than the otherwise equivalent no-sleeve configuration.
More Than 600 Square Inches of Filtration
The Hornet-518 uses an oversized filter providing more than 600 square inches of filtration area. Halltech combines that substantial filter surface with an application-specific airbox and engineered airflow path, giving the LT2 an intake designed around both airflow capacity and airflow quality.
Engineered Airflow at the MAF Sensor
Airflow quality matters on a modern C8, especially as air passes through the MAF section. Halltech addresses this with a molded-in velocity stack and reverse-flow partition designed to maintain laminar airflow at the MAF sensor. This engineered approach allows Halltech to specify the HRNT.518 as requiring no tuning while still providing the increased filtration area and airflow capability of the Hornet-518 system.
Coupe and HTC Compatibility
Halltech engineered the Hornet-518 for both Coupe and HTC versions of the C8 Stingray and E-Ray. For HTC installation, Halltech specifies that the top-center rivnut on the access panel must be drilled out. The system otherwise serves as a direct cold air intake replacement while reusing multiple factory components and mounting locations.
