The sleeve measures approximately 18 to 24 inches and may provide enough material to cover the throttle-body hose or filter neck, depending on the intake system. Its seamless 2-ply construction combines heat resistance with the high strength-to-weight characteristics of Kevlar fiber. Halltech-Reported Temperature Test
Halltech reports testing the sleeve during 30 minutes of normal driving followed by one run to 130 mph in an ambient temperature of 70 degrees F. According to Halltech, intake air temperature remained at 70 degrees F throughout the test. After the high-speed run and 60 seconds of idling, IAT increased to 78 degrees F, or 8 degrees F above ambient, before returning to 72 degrees F after one additional block of driving.
