Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc High-Z Fuel Injector Set (IS154-2150H) - 1994-1998 Dodge 5.2L / 5.9L

When your 1994-1998 Dodge 5.2L or 5.9L build demands massive fuel capacity without giving up precise injector control, the Fuel Injector Clinic 2150cc High-Z Fuel Injector Set delivers. The IS154-2150H includes eight saturated, high-impedance injectors rated at 2150cc/min, or 200 lbs/hr, at 43.5 psi (3 Bar). At the Dodge OE fuel pressure of 58 psi (4 Bar), flow increases to an impressive 2500cc/min, or 240 lbs/hr. Despite this enormous capacity, FIC engineers these injectors for excellent linearity, short pulse width control, and predictable low-speed operation, giving serious high-horsepower combinations the fuel delivery they need without overlooking tunability and drivability.

Because of the extreme flow rate, Fuel Injector Clinic uses its proprietary Data Match Technology with dynamic flow matching during production of these injector sets. This process significantly improves the ECU's ability to control the injectors in the sub-2ms pulse width range commonly encountered during idle and part-throttle operation. Every injector is individually serial numbered, and detailed flow matching and latency results are supplied on the included Data Match Sheet. FIC flow tests and rates these injectors at 43.5 psi (3 Bar) and 90 degrees F fuel temperature using CF-16B calibration fluid. PGTDEN8 solder-in pigtails are included, while optional PADPDtoJ8 plug-and-play adapters allow installation without cutting or soldering the factory wiring harness.

2150cc Rated Flow and 240 lbs/hr at OE Fuel Pressure

The IS154-2150H is built for Dodge combinations with substantial fuel demands. Fuel Injector Clinic rates each injector at 2150cc/min, or 200 lbs/hr, at the standard 43.5 psi (3 Bar) test pressure. At the Dodge OE fuel pressure of 58 psi (4 Bar), flow increases to 2500cc/min, or 240 lbs/hr. Understanding both ratings is critical when planning a high-output fuel system because injector flow changes with fuel pressure, and the 58 psi figure provides the relevant flow capacity when operating at the listed OE pressure.

Dynamic Data Matching for Sub-2ms Control

Huge injectors present a unique tuning challenge because the ECU still needs to command extremely small quantities of fuel during idle and part-throttle operation. Fuel Injector Clinic addresses this with its Data Match Technology and dynamic flow matching. For these 2150cc injectors, the matching process is designed to significantly improve ECU control in the sub-2ms pulse width area commonly encountered during low-load operation. Each injector is individually serial numbered, and its results are documented on the included Data Match Sheet with detailed flow matching and latency information.

Important Fuel Compatibility Warning

Do not use the IS154-2150H with VP Import, Q16, or other MTBE oxygenated fuels. The internal construction of the 2150cc injector contains a seal that has been found to swell when exposed to MTBE. This swelling can significantly reduce injector flow, making these injectors unsuitable for MTBE oxygenated fuels.

Alcohol-based fuels such as E85 require proper injector care as well. Fuel Injector Clinic warns of potential corrosion issues resulting from prolonged disuse while the injectors remain exposed to alcohol-based fuels. Follow FIC's care instructions when operating these injectors with E85 or other alcohol-based fuels, particularly when the vehicle will be stored or unused for an extended period.

Pigtail and Plug-and-Play Wiring Options

The IS154-2150H requires an injector connector conversion in the listed factory application. PGTDEN8 solder-in pigtails are included and can be installed in place of the existing injector connectors. If you prefer not to cut or solder the factory wiring harness, optional PADPDtoJ8 plug-and-play adapters provide the required connection between the injectors and the stock harness. Fuel Injector Clinic uses brand-new, unused injectors for its performance applications rather than relying on remanufactured or core-program injectors.

FAQs

Can FIC IS154-2150H injectors be used with Q16 or VP Import fuel?
No. Fuel Injector Clinic specifically warns against using the IS154-2150H with Q16, VP Import, or other MTBE oxygenated fuels. MTBE can cause an internal seal in the 2150cc injector to swell, resulting in a significant reduction in injector flow.

Why is Data Match Technology especially important with these 2150cc injectors?
The enormous flow capacity of a 2150cc injector makes precise low pulse width control especially important. FIC uses dynamic flow matching to improve ECU control in the sub-2ms pulse width range typical of idle and part-throttle conditions. Each injector is individually serial numbered, with detailed matching and latency results provided on the included Data Match Sheet.
