Fore Innovations L1 Dual Pump Fuel System (91-621) - 2018-2026 Ford F-150 5.0L Coyote
Upgrade the fuel delivery capability of your 2018-2026 Ford F-150 5.0L Coyote with the Fore Innovations L1 Dual Pump Fuel System. Designed for gasoline and race gas applications producing up to approximately 800 RWHP, the 91-621 combines a dual-pump in-tank supply system with upgraded feed and return lines, high-capacity filtration, a check valve, HPFP T-block, and an F1i fuel pressure regulator capable of static, manifold-referenced, or boost-referenced operation.
The L1 supplies both the High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) and port injection system and can also support a small wet nitrous system when properly configured. The in-tank supply system retains OE fuel transfer, fuel level sender, and EVAP functionality while providing the increased fuel capacity required by modified Coyote F-150 applications.
The L1 system is for gasoline or race gas only and should NOT be used with E85. The OE fuel rails used with this system limit E85 compatibility. For E85 applications, Fore Innovations recommends the L1E or L2 fuel system instead.
Up to 800 RWHP Dual Pump Fuel System
The Fore Innovations L1 is designed to support up to approximately 800 rear-wheel horsepower with properly selected dual fuel pumps and the appropriate supporting components. Fore recommends operating one pump full time and activating the secondary pump under load.
This staged-pump strategy allows the second pump to provide additional fuel capacity as engine load and fuel demand increase rather than unnecessarily operating both high-output pumps continuously.
Supplies HPFP and Port Injection
The L1 is designed to supply both the High Pressure Fuel Pump and port injection system on supported 2018-2026 F-150 Coyote applications. It can also supply a small wet nitrous system when the complete fuel system is properly configured for the additional fuel demand.
A flow-through T-block is included for direct mounting at the HPFP inlet tube, providing the connection required to integrate the high-pressure pump supply into the upgraded fuel system.
F1i Fuel Pressure Regulator
The included high-capacity Fore Innovations F1i Fuel Pressure Regulator provides flexibility for different fuel pressure strategies. Depending on the application and tuning requirements, the regulator can be configured for static, manifold-referenced, or boost-referenced fuel pressure operation.
Correct fuel pressure configuration is critical to proper system operation and must be matched to the vehicle's specific combination and tuning strategy.
Fuel Pressure Settings
- Static Fuel Pressure Regulation: Set fuel pressure to 43 psi plus maximum boost pressure, or 54 psi, whichever is greater.
- Manifold-Referenced Regulation: Set fuel pressure to 54 psi at idle. The boost signal must be sourced after the throttle body.
- Boost-Referenced Regulation: Set fuel pressure to 58 psi with vacuum disconnected. The boost signal must be sourced before the throttle body.
- Applications Outside These Parameters: Fore Innovations recommends upgrading to an L1E or L2 fuel system.
Retains Key OE Fuel System Functions
The Fore Innovations in-tank supply system retains OE fuel transfer, fuel level sender, and EVAP functionality. This allows the L1 to provide significantly increased fuel delivery capability while maintaining these important factory functions.
Upgraded Feed and Return Fuel Lines
The L1 includes the upgraded feed and return plumbing required for its return-style fuel system configuration. A total of 30 feet of fuel line is supplied, with the customer selecting the appropriate available line type for the application.
The system also includes billet compression-style hose ends, AN-to-ORB fittings, EFI adapters, hose straps, and associated hardware for typical fuel line plumbing.
High-Capacity Filtration and Check Valve
An 88mm inline fuel filter provides high-capacity filtration for the upgraded system, while the included check valve and supporting plumbing components help create a complete high-performance fuel delivery solution.
Gasoline and Race Gas Only - Not E85 Compatible
The Fore Innovations L1 fuel system should not be used with E85 due to limitations of the OE fuel rails. This system is intended for gasoline and race gas applications.
Customers planning to run E85 should select a Fore Innovations L1E or L2 fuel system instead. Those systems provide the appropriate upgraded fuel rail configuration required for E85 applications.

Electrical Options
- None: Base module configuration with approximately 6" of fuel pump power wire extending from the hermetic seal.
- FC2 Controller with 6-Gauge Wiring: Operates both pumps simultaneously using factory control. Best for two smaller street-duty pumps or two large pumps in track applications where increased fuel heat is less of a concern. Includes 14' of 6 AWG power wire, 100-amp fuse, 3' ground wire, 7' 12 AWG pump leads, and sealed Delphi connector.
- FC3 Staged Controller with 4-Gauge Wiring: Independently controls the secondary pump from the primary pump using factory control plus a secondary trigger. Recommended for large dual-pump street applications to help minimize fuel heat. Includes 14' of 4 AWG power wire, 100-amp fuse, 3' ground wire, 7' 12 AWG pump leads, and sealed Delphi connector.
- Delphi Connector / Pigtail Only: Includes a sealed Delphi connector and 7' of 12 AWG pump leads. Installer is responsible for properly configuring the required fuses and relays.
Filtration Media
- Cellulose: 10-micron nominal / 14-micron absolute disposable element with aluminum endcaps and Viton O-ring. For gasoline and race gas. Recommended for Injector Dynamics fuel injectors.
- Microglass SSD Anti-Static: 12-micron absolute disposable, static-dissipating element with aluminum endcaps and Viton O-ring. Compatible with gasoline, race gas, E85, E100, M5, diesel, and other fuel blends. Recommended for Injector Dynamics fuel injectors.
- Stainless: 10-micron nominal / 26-micron absolute reusable stainless element with stainless endcaps and Viton O-ring. Compatible with gasoline, race gas, E85, E100, M5, diesel, and other fuel blends.
Note: Selecting an E85-compatible filter element does not make this L1 fuel system E85 compatible. Due to the OE fuel rail limitation, the complete L1 system is intended for gasoline and race gas only.
Fuel Filter Upgrades
- 128mm Filter: Upgrades the standard 88mm filter to a larger 128mm filter for increased filtration capacity and longer service intervals.
- Billet Mounting Bracket: Provides a secure, show-quality underbody filter installation while keeping the filter accessible for maintenance.
- Filter Monitoring Gauge and Fitting: Monitors fuel pressure before the filter to help identify restriction. Increasing pre-filter pressure can indicate a clogged filter, which can reduce pump performance, shorten pump life, and increase fuel temperature. Includes a fitting for proper gauge orientation.
Additional System Options
- Honeywell Pressure Switch for FC3: 1/8" NPT male pressure switch designed for installation in the intake manifold. Must receive both boost and vacuum signals.
- Boost / Vacuum Manifold Kit: Includes Fore Innovations Boost / Vacuum Manifold, three 1/4" barb fittings, and four plugs.
Professional Installation and Custom Tuning Required
Professional installation and a custom tune are required for this fuel system to function properly. Proper integration of the upgraded fuel system with the vehicle must be performed by qualified professionals familiar with high-performance return-style fuel systems.
Fore Innovations provides detailed assistance regarding the function of the components it supplies. However, Fore Innovations does not provide assistance with integration into the OE harness, ECU tuning, or elimination of alarm codes or Check Engine Lights (CELs).

If you suspect your fuel pump(s) are damaged, Fore Innovations can help with diagnosis, corrective measures, and facilitation of replacement pump(s). However, only the original manufacturer of the fuel pump (such as TI Automotive, Walbro, etc.) will be able to evaluate whether or not you are eligible for a warranty claim due to a quality issue.
