Complete 5/5 Drop Plus Kit for 1973-1987 Chevy C-10
The DJM2456-5/5+ Complete Lowering Plus Kit delivers a true 5" front and 5" rear drop for 1973-1987 Chevy C-10 trucks while upgrading your entire front suspension with Calmax components. This is the same foundation as the DJM2456-5/5 kit, but upgraded with Calmax Upper Control Arms for improved alignment control and added value.
Up front, new Calmax Lower Control Arms come fully assembled with new ball joints, mounting shafts with urethane bushings and urethane bumpstops already installed from the factory. To achieve the full 5" drop, a 2" lowering coil spring is added to the lowered arms. You can take the components out of the box and install them directly into the factory mounting locations.
The included Calmax Upper Control Arms help dial in proper alignment and give the entire front suspension that signature Calmax look. Choosing a Plus kit gives you the best value on a complete suspension upgrade.
In the rear, a flip kit relocates the axle from beneath the leaf spring to on top of the leaf spring for a full 5" drop. No C-section is required. The factory C-10 frame has sufficient relief built in, and even after the flip you retain usable suspension travel.
Tech Tip: If your original U-bolts are worn or corroded, consider kit DJM2456-5/5+LTD. It is the same Plus kit but includes new U-bolts and new leaf spring plates for the rear flip kit.
This kit has been featured on Gearz TV with Stacey David Knucklebuster. Shocks are included to properly control the lowered ride height.
