Proven 2/4 Drop Setup for 1988-1998 Chevy C1500
The DJM2056-2/4 Complete Lowering Kit delivers a classic 2" front and 4" rear drop for 1988-1998 Chevy C1500 trucks. This setup uses time tested drop spindle geometry up front and a hanger and shackle system in the rear to achieve a clean street stance while maintaining factory ride characteristics.
Note: The included spindles do not work on 1988-1991 C1500 Standard Cab trucks.
Up front, 2" drop spindles lower the suspension while retaining the factory spring and shock for full suspension travel. This keeps ride quality consistent and avoids torsion bar or spring preload changes. As with most spindle drops, occasional wheel clearance considerations may apply depending on wheel and tire selection.
In the rear, a hanger and shackle kit lowers the truck 4" while keeping the factory leaf spring rate intact. This is important for trucks that see towing or hauling duties, as it maintains load carrying characteristics.
Shocks are included to properly control suspension movement at the new ride height.
