DSE Ford Modular/Coyote Engine Mount Kit - Aluma-Frame (060420DS) - 1964-1970 Mustang

Bring late-model Ford power to your classic Mustang with an engine mounting system engineered specifically for the Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame. Detroit Speed Engine Mount Kit 060420DS is designed for 1964-1970 Ford Mustang applications equipped with the DSE Aluma-Frame and supports Ford Modular and Coyote engine combinations documented by Detroit Speed. Rather than adapting universal mounts to the Aluma-Frame, this kit provides a purpose-built mounting system designed around the engine position and geometry of the DSE front suspension package.

The 060420DS kit includes left- and right-hand modular engine mount brackets, two adjustable engine mount isolator assemblies, and the required installation hardware. Detroit Speed designed the system to locate the crankshaft centerline, bellhousing mounting surface, and engine mounting angle in the same position as the stock engine, with a 3-degree downward angle toward the rear measured from the crankshaft centerline. The engine is also offset 1/4 inch toward the passenger side to provide alternator clearance. Current Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame documentation specifies 060420DS for 4.6-liter and 5.4-liter Modular engines as well as 5.0-liter Coyote applications.

Fitment Note: Detroit Speed 060420DS is designed for compatible Ford Modular and Coyote engines installed with the Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame. Current Detroit Speed documentation specifies 4.6-liter and 5.4-liter Modular engines and 5.0-liter Coyote applications. Modular engine installations require removal of the stock shock and spring towers. Detroit Speed states that 5.4-liter installations require brake booster and master cylinder relocation. Coyote installations require Detroit Speed alternator relocation bracket 060436DS along with modification of the Aluma-Frame. Oil pan, pickup tube, header, starter, and other supporting-component requirements vary with the specific engine generation and should be verified before installation.
