Instead of relying on noisy heim joints, Detroit Speed uses tuned high-durometer rubber bushings to deliver controlled suspension movement with excellent ride quality and long-term street manners.
The system combines long upper links for improved pinion and U-joint angle control with an adjustable panhard rod that precisely locates the rear axle laterally during hard cornering. The panhard rod can be adjusted as ride height changes to provide roll center control, while the upper shock crossmember strengthens the rear body and frame area. This version includes DSE/JRi aluminum-body non-adjustable coilover shocks with Detroit Tuned valving and 250 lbs/in springs, giving builders a performance-focused package without the added complexity of externally adjustable shocks.
