DSE Rear Speed Kit 2 (041652DS) - 1967-1972 Chevrolet C10 / GMC C15 with Truck Arms and Rear Coil Springs

Lower your classic GM truck while adding meaningful rear suspension adjustability with the Detroit Speed Rear Speed Kit 2. Designed for compatible 1967-1972 Chevrolet C10 and GMC C15 trucks equipped with factory truck arms and rear coil springs, 041652DS delivers approximately 5.5 to 7 inches of rear lowering along with improved axle control, stability, ride quality, and handling. The package combines custom-wound lowering springs, Detroit Tuned drop shocks, a frame notch, adjustable track bar and shock relocation system, trailing arm bushings, and an anti-squat kit into a comprehensive rear suspension upgrade.

Detroit Speed's anti-squat system takes this package beyond a basic lowering kit. Multiple trailing arm mounting locations and hard-anodized angled lowering blocks provide adjustment for anti-squat percentage, pinion angle, and ride height, making the system especially valuable for higher-horsepower trucks that need better control under acceleration. The relocated adjustable track bar helps center the rear axle after lowering while improving stability and providing multiple roll center adjustments. Relocated shock mounts improve rear axle control and create additional exhaust clearance, while the frame notch provides the clearance required at the lowered ride height and reinforces the chassis around the coil spring mounting points.

Fitment Notes

This suspension system fits trucks equipped with factory truck arms and rear coil springs only. It does not fit trucks equipped with leaf spring rear suspension because the frame configuration is different. Compatible 1967-1972 GMC C15/C1500 trucks must have the optional factory truck-arm and coil-spring rear suspension. Installation requires basic fabrication skills including measuring, cutting, and drilling. The relocated track bar allows 3-inch exhaust to be routed above the track bar on the passenger side. A factory-style differential cover is required to provide the necessary differential and exhaust clearance. Oversized aluminum differential covers do not provide the required clearance.
