Designed for 1979-1993 Ford Mustang and 1979-1986 Mercury Capri applications, 041647-DDS combines a Rear Coilover Conversion, Swivel-Link rear suspension, tubular rear sway bar, and Adjustable Track Bar into a comprehensive performance system. Engineered to improve suspension geometry, traction, stability, ride quality, and driving confidence, this package is equally at home on a daily-driven street car, at the dragstrip, through an autocross course, or on a road course.
The double adjustable shocks provide two independent adjustments and an extensive tuning range for dialing in suspension response while maintaining excellent street ride quality. Detroit Speed's Swivel-Links eliminate bind and allow the rear suspension to articulate without noisy spherical rod ends, while the 3/4-inch tubular sway bar provides more effective roll control by mounting directly to the chassis and axle. An Adjustable Track Bar adds the lateral axle control missing from the factory Fox Body suspension, helping keep the rear axle centered throughout suspension travel and locating the rear roll center 1-1/2 inches below the axle centerline.
