DSE Rear Speed Kit 2 (041607DS) - 1964-1966 GM A-Body

Bring modern rear suspension performance to your classic GM A-Body with the Detroit Speed Rear Speed Kit 2. Designed for 1964-1966 applications, 041607DS combines Detroit Speed's patented Swivel-Link rear suspension technology with matched springs, shocks, chassis bracing, and a tubular rear anti-roll bar. The system is engineered to maintain optimum suspension geometry and tire contact throughout rear suspension travel, giving your A-Body more predictable handling, improved cornering capability, and the controlled road manners expected from a properly engineered performance suspension.

Detroit Speed's patented Swivel-Links allow the rear axle housing to fully articulate without relying on noisy spherical heim joints, while also allowing pinion angle and wheelbase adjustments without unbolting the links from the vehicle. Rear Speed Kit 2 adds a chassis-mounted tubular rear anti-roll bar for a substantial improvement in cornering ability, along with 150 lb/in rear coil springs and matched non-adjustable shock absorbers. The complete package is designed to complement Detroit Speed front Speed Kits for balanced front-to-rear suspension performance.

Fitment Notes

Detroit Speed 041607DS excludes wagon applications. On some 1964 GM A-Body axle housings, the bushing supplied with the kit may not fit due to its overall diameter. Detroit Speed offers a smaller 1.360-inch diameter bushing, P/N 99040249, for applications where the supplied bushing does not fit the rear axle housing.
