Install Detroit Speed reverse-eye leaf springs with the clearance and suspension geometry they were designed to have using the Detroit Speed Front Leaf Spring Mounts. Engineered for 1982-2003 Chevrolet S10, GMC S15, and GMC Sonoma 2WD applications, part number 040121DS replaces the factory front leaf spring mounts to create additional room around the reverse-eye spring. The revised mounting location also moves the front spring-eye pivot closer to the frame, increasing anti-squat geometry to help improve rear traction under acceleration.
While the factory mounts can be modified to provide clearance for reverse-eye springs, these purpose-built Detroit Speed mounts provide a cleaner bolt-in solution with the geometry already engineered into the brackets. The mounts accommodate Detroit Speed reverse-eye lowering springs while maintaining sufficient spring arch, and the brackets are powder coated black for durability.
