DSE Hydroformed Front Subframe - Powdercoated - Single-Adjustable Shocks (032015-SDS) - 1970-1981 Chevrolet Camaro / Pontiac Firebird - BBC

Give your Big Block-powered second-generation F-Body the front suspension foundation to match its horsepower with the Detroit Speed Hydroformed Front Subframe. DSE 032015-SDS is a bolt-in replacement for the original front subframe that combines hydroformed steel frame rails, Detroit Speed suspension geometry, stamped structural crossmembers, power rack-and-pinion steering, a splined sway bar, and single-adjustable coilover shocks. Engineered for 1970-1981 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird applications, this complete system delivers the structural rigidity, steering precision, suspension control, and tuning capability needed for serious street, pro-touring, and track performance.

This powdercoated configuration is designed for Big Block Chevy and Big Block Pontiac applications and uses 650 lbs/in springs with an 8-inch spring free length. The Detroit Tuned single-adjustable shocks add externally adjustable rebound control, allowing suspension response to be fine-tuned while retaining the street-friendly ride characteristics engineered into the system. Hydroformed frame rails provide exceptional strength, stiffness, dimensional accuracy, and repeatability, while stamped main and secondary crossmembers reinforce the structure to help maintain consistent suspension geometry under acceleration, braking, and hard cornering.
