Replace flex-prone factory rubber body mounts with a more rigid foundation using the Detroit Speed 010201DS 1/2 Inch Height Body Mounts. Designed for select GM F-Body and X-Body applications, these solid mounts eliminate movement at the body-to-subframe connection to increase chassis stiffness and sharpen vehicle handling response. They are especially beneficial when paired with subframe connectors, where Detroit Speed recommends solid body mounts to help achieve maximum torsional rigidity.
Detroit Speed CNC machines the 010201DS mounts from 6061 billet aluminum and uses a hardcoat finish rather than conventional bright anodizing. The hardcoating helps resist galvanic corrosion that can develop where dissimilar steel and aluminum surfaces meet, providing a durable solution for a critical chassis mounting point. CNC-machined stainless steel bevel washers are included, while optional 17-4 stainless steel flanged body bolts are available separately.
The 1/2 height design also lowers the body on the frame compared with stock body mounts, giving builders another way to refine vehicle stance while replacing compliant factory rubber mounts with solid aluminum components. The complete kit includes four upper body mounts, four lower body mount cups, four 1.75 inch stainless steel washers, two upper core support cups, two lower core support mounts, two core support washers, and two 12mm flat washers.
Important fitment note: Detroit Speed does not recommend the 010201DS 1/2 Inch Height Body Mounts for 1970-1981 Camaro applications.
