Detroit Speed Subframe Connectors (1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro / Pontiac Firebird) - 010101DS

Put a stronger foundation under your first-generation F-Body with the Detroit Speed 010101DS Subframe Connectors. Designed specifically for the 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, these weld-in connectors tie the front subframe into the rear frame rails and floor pan to significantly increase chassis rigidity. The integrated design improves both longitudinal and torsional stiffness while maintaining a clean, low-profile installation that is barely noticeable from underneath the car.

Detroit Speed builds the 010101DS connectors from rugged 2 inch x 3 inch x 0.120 inch wall rectangular steel tubing. Each connector is bent and TIG welded in a fixture for accuracy and repeatability, while the tapered rear section is designed to attach to the rear frame rails. A laser-cut slot conforms to the rear seat floor pan, and included laser-cut brackets create a strong, straightforward welded connection between the connector and rear of the front subframe.

Detroit Speed engineered these connectors to add chassis stiffness without creating unnecessary compromises elsewhere in the car. They do not interfere with the seat attachment hardware or installation and removal of the rear leaf spring pocket, and the factory molded carpet can still be installed over the connectors. The system is also compatible with convertible applications. Templates, pictures, and detailed installation instructions are included to help guide proper installation.
