Rather than relying on a conventional welded flange and tube arrangement, cp-e® developed cast stainless steel bellmouths designed to withstand the extreme heat and vibration found near the turbochargers. The entire system is engineered specifically around the Ranger Raptor's tight engine bay and exhaust tunnel, including carefully positioned oxygen sensor provisions and vehicle-specific mounting hardware.

Cast Stainless Steel Bellmouths
One of the defining features of the cp-e® QKspl downpipes is the use of cast stainless steel bellmouths. Instead of joining a traditional flange and tube through conventional welding, the cast design provides a robust transition engineered to withstand the heat, vibration, and demanding operating conditions experienced in this area of the Ranger Raptor's exhaust system.
The bellmouth design also allows cp-e® to integrate the upper O2 sensor bung directly into the cast structure. This provides precise sensor placement within the limited space available in the Ranger Raptor's engine bay and exhaust tunnel.
3.00-Inch 16-Gauge Stainless Steel Construction
The downpipes use 3.00-inch tubing CNC-bent from 16-gauge stainless steel and formed as a single piece. The thicker stainless construction is designed to handle the elevated temperatures and constant vibration experienced near the turbochargers while providing a freer-flowing exhaust path for performance applications.
Precision O2 Sensor Placement
In addition to the upper O2 provision incorporated into the cast bellmouth, the secondary O2 sensor provision is precision CNC-machined in-house to achieve an exact fit against the tubing and provide a high-quality welded connection. Its location also makes the secondary sensor more accessible without requiring it to be incorporated into the casting.
Purpose-Built Mounting Hardware
cp-e® uses CNC laser-cut brackets manufactured in-house rather than basic rod or flat-sheet mounting solutions. This attention to the supporting components helps provide a more precise, durable, and vehicle-specific installation.
In-House Manufacturing
Fixturing and welding are completed in-house, with each fixture computer-designed and positioned using CAD. This manufacturing process is intended to maintain consistency from one downpipe set to the next while allowing cp-e® to tightly control fitment and construction quality.
