EcoF by GESI Catalytic Converters
This version of the cp-e® QKspl downpipes is equipped with EcoF by GESI catalytic converters, providing a premium catted configuration for Ranger Raptor owners looking to upgrade the factory downpipes.
The catalytic converters are brazed directly to the outer shell sidewall rather than using a conventional stuffed and rolled construction method. This approach helps maintain an unrestricted exhaust flow path while creating a durable converter assembly. Stamped endcaps further reinforce the construction while helping provide a smoother path for exhaust gases.
Cast Stainless Steel Bellmouths
One of the defining features of the QKspl downpipes is cp-e®'s unique cast stainless steel bellmouth construction. Instead of relying on a traditional flange and tube arrangement joined together through welding, the cast bellmouths are engineered to provide exceptional durability in an area exposed to intense heat and constant vibration.
The cast design also allows the upper O2 sensor bung to be incorporated directly into the bellmouth structure. This gives cp-e® precise control over sensor placement, which is especially important within the limited space available in the Ranger Raptor's engine bay and exhaust tunnel.
3.00-Inch 16-Gauge Stainless Steel Tubing
The downpipes are constructed from 3.00-inch 16-gauge stainless steel tubing that is CNC-bent and formed as a single piece. The heavier-gauge stainless construction is designed to withstand the elevated exhaust temperatures and vibration encountered near the turbochargers while providing the flow capacity required for performance applications.
Precision O2 Sensor Placement
In addition to the upper O2 sensor provision incorporated into the cast bellmouth, the secondary O2 sensor provision is precision CNC-machined in-house. This allows the provision to closely match the tubing for a precise welded connection while positioning the sensor in a more accessible location.
CNC Laser-Cut Mounting Brackets
cp-e® uses dedicated CNC laser-cut brackets manufactured in-house instead of basic rod or flat sheet metal mounting solutions. These purpose-built brackets provide a more refined mounting solution and reflect the attention to detail found throughout the QKspl downpipe system.
In-House Manufacturing
All fixturing and welding are completed in-house by cp-e®. Each manufacturing fixture is computer-designed and positioned using CAD to help maintain consistent geometry, alignment, and fitment from one downpipe set to the next. Although this approach requires additional development work, it allows for tighter control over the finished product.
