Why Adjustable Anti-Roll Bar Links Matter
When a vehicle is corner balanced, the sway bar end links should be disconnected so the suspension can settle into a completely relaxed and unbound position. Once the desired corner weights have been established, reconnecting fixed-length end links can place tension back into the anti-roll bar.
This preload effectively connects the left and right sides of the suspension under tension, potentially changing the cross weight that was established during the corner-balancing process. Adjustable end links solve this problem by allowing the link length to be changed until the anti-roll bar sits naturally in a neutral position.
