The Corsa 45954 is designed to operate without requiring an aftermarket ECU tune and retains the vehicle's lower stock air intake box. The included reusable oiled filter provides 98% filtration efficiency and can be serviced throughout its lifespan rather than routinely discarded and replaced.
Corsa Closed Box Intake Design
The 45954 uses Corsa's closed-box intake configuration to provide a clean, vehicle-specific induction upgrade for compatible 6.2L V8 GM trucks and SUVs. The system incorporates Corsa's performance intake duct and filtration while retaining the lower portion of the factory air intake box.
This configuration provides an integrated installation designed around the existing vehicle architecture rather than relying on a universal open-filter intake arrangement.
Cross-Linked Polyethylene Construction
Corsa manufactures the intake air duct and box components from cross-linked polyethylene. This durable material allows the intake components to be formed specifically for the available engine compartment space while providing a robust construction suitable for everyday driving and performance use.
Reusable Oiled Air Filter
The Corsa 45954 includes a reusable oiled air filter designed to provide free-flowing performance filtration for the 6.2L V8. Unlike a disposable factory-style filter, the Corsa filter can be cleaned, re-oiled, and returned to service.
Corsa rates the included filter at 98% filtration efficiency, providing effective filtration while supporting the airflow requirements of the performance intake system.
Serviceable Performance Filtration
Corsa specifies re-oiling the included filter every 25,000 miles. A complete wash and oil service is recommended every 40,000 miles. Following the appropriate maintenance schedule allows the reusable filter to continue providing the airflow and filtration characteristics for which the intake was designed.
The included filter carries a one-year warranty. When a replacement eventually becomes necessary, Corsa specifies replacement filter part number 5119 for the 45954 intake system.
No Tune Required
The Corsa 45954 is engineered to operate without an aftermarket ECU tune. This allows owners to upgrade the intake system on their compatible 6.2L V8 truck or SUV without making custom engine calibration a requirement.
Retains the Lower Factory Air Box
Installation of the 45954 requires the use of the vehicle's lower stock air intake box. The Corsa system is designed to integrate with this factory component rather than replacing the complete lower air box assembly.
Because the factory lower intake box is a required part of the installation, it must remain present and usable when installing the Corsa intake.
Wide GM 6.2L V8 Application Coverage
The Corsa 45954 supports a broad range of GM trucks and full-size SUVs equipped with the 6.2L V8. Truck applications include the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and GMC Sierra Denali 1500 from 2019-2026. For 2019 models, fitment is limited specifically to the New Body Style.
SUV fitment includes 2021-2026 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, and multiple GMC Yukon configurations including Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, and Yukon Denali XL.
