Cobb Turbo Blanket (872650)
The COBB Turbo Blanket limits heat transfer from the turbocharger to the engine bay while keeping exhaust gases hotter for faster exit speeds. It features an outer layer of fragmentized fire-retardant volcanic rock rated for 1500°F direct and 1800°F radiant heat, and is internally insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool rated for 1800°F direct and 2300°F peak heat. This insulation prevents heat soak to neighboring components, lowers intake temperatures, protects underhood parts, and improves turbo spool and peak torque response.
Emissions Note: This part is not an emissions-related part and therefore can be used on Emission Controlled Vehicles.
