From the factory, Dodge Chargers and Challengers utilize soft, compliant rubber subframe bushings designed with large, hollow air pockets. While this soft rubber successfully dampens road vibrations, it allows massive amounts of rear subframe deflection under hard launches, heavy shifts, and high-G cornering. This movement causes unpredictable rear suspension alignment changes, erratic steering feedback, and violent wheel hop that can easily shatter driveshafts and axle joints. BMR’s billet aluminum bushing insert lockout kit slides directly into these factory rubber voids, locking the rear subframe firmly to the unibody without the extensive hassle of pressing out the original factory bushings.
Designed to easily manage the extreme torque loads of modern HEMI platforms, the SCB110 kit is precision CNC-machined in the USA from ultra-strong 6061-T6 billet aluminum. These inserts are engineered to interlock perfectly within the voids of the OEM rubber cradle bushings, mechanically locking them in place. By establishing this rigid aluminum boundary, the kit prevents the subframe from twisting and walking out of alignment under load. Unlike full solid-bushing replacements, this innovative lockout design delivers a massive increase in chassis stiffness and throttle response while retaining the factory bushing centers to isolate high-frequency road noise and driveline vibration.
